On The Line: Danny Gold Discusses El Salvador’s War on Gangs

VICE News correspondent Danny Gold joined 'On The Line' to take your questions on the escalating violence between gangs and police in El Salvador.

On The Line will return on January 7, 2016. Follow us on Twitter where we'll announce the first topic for 2016.

On Thursday at 12pm EST VICE News correspondent Danny Gold joined On The Line to take your questions on the escalating violence between gangs and police in El Salvador.

El Salvador has now eclipsed neighboring Honduras as the most murderous peacetime country in the world. To combat the violence, the government has given police and military permission to shoot first, and ask questions later. The country's supreme court has ruled that gangs should be defined as terrorist organizations, and gang members can face terrorism charges.
